This time of year here on Holmgrown Farm is always the lazy season. Because we never grow more than a couple small plants over the winter months. Sadly, there is not really much reason to do so. If you saw the post: Cannabis Plants Rotated, you know that my issue is not temperature but? That’s right, direct sunlight.
It is nice to have the break from the work involved with caring for a cannabis garden. It is a good time to go do all the tourist things on the island due to a lower tourist population. It is also a great time to play mad scientist. I have Cookies, Candies, Oils, cannabis-infused coffee, pills… Oh, I could go on. You get the idea though. I have buttload loads of trimmings and leaf to play with. I also always start in my mad scientist persona by making Bubble Hash.
Making Bubble Hash for Hawaiian lazy season in my mad scientist person is the coolest. lol, I am going to continue with the assumption, you reading this, means you know what bubble Hash is. If you do not know. Look it up online. I mostly use Bubble Hash for cooking. I do admit that I enjoy a big chunk of hash in a hooka too. For candies, I just dissolve the hash in 200 proof alcohol, evaporate by half then pour into the candy mix. Works like a champ. I also get a fairly good distribution throughout the mix of cannabis.
When I make butter or coconut oil for cookies, I just crumble up what I am adding and make cannabis butter as per normal methods. I like doing it this way because it keeps the butter from turning green. Not really a big fan of green cookies. to me at least, when you have a green butter, you have a green tasting cookie.
I also take the bud from the harvest to make Co2 oil. I am going to leave all that mess for another time. I do want to say that making cannabis-infused stuff with Co2 oil is the bestest thing in the world. It is so perfect you just add a drop or 2 to anything! A Camel Light/Blue with a drop of oil is pure magic.
Back to making Bubble Hash. It is a pretty simple method. ice, cannabis, water, screens. I use some kinda bubble bag. I really know not what brand. They have the normal range of screened bottom bags, 220, 160, 90, 73, 45, 25. I am not going to get all into the whole procedure of making bubble hash. So, I am just going to post the photos and end my Making Bubble Hash For Hawaiian Lazy Season post. Aloha
